depends.... i can't really say.. or understand it.... i've talked to alot of women about it.... they all want the diamond... the expensive ring.... but asking the "what if" question... they all changed there minds..... see... if you could exchange that ring for a car that you like... perhapsa kitchen worth it.. maybe even a rebuild of some parts of the house that could greatly improve something.. and be somewhat more usefull.. whynot?..... just examples....specially when the object at hand may have some sentimental value... however... must it be expensive beyond relisic terms?... i mean.... $50 should be able to get you a very decent looking and sentimentally great ring...... spend the extra waud on something more usefull that both can enjoy..... no?

$50??? Most peopl will laugh at that but I wont. When me and my wife forst got married all I could afford was a $100 ring and she loved it. She never was ashamed of it nor asked for a bigger one.

So for Christmas 2 years ago I suprised her with a 3/4 carot solitaire and 1/2 carot ring wrap. Because even though she never said a bad word about the small ring she had I know all women like to be treated a little extra special every once in a while like other women and because I love her.

me and my gal are getting in march of this year and off to venice for aweek,got her a ingagement ring with not such a big stone,that all she wanted as we where building a house for selfs.was thinking of getting a bigger one .but she says she's happy and has more than she ever wanted

well, all i want is a good pc and a man who can fix it..... forget diamonds... just used to get the other women jealous so their husbands will go buy them one.... a bigger, nicer one than the one who showed it to them...
