Apple Mac OS for X86 Petition !

We the undersigned are hereby requesting that an alternate operating system be available for Intel x86 based microprocessors. Specifically, we would like the most current and future releases of the Apple Mac OS operating system be released for Intel x86 processors. We strongly feel that the release of the Apple Mac OS for x86 processors would restore the lack of innovation that is currently occuring in the operating system marketplace.

Well I'd love to see it, but I doubt it'll happen, the amount of money and problems it would cost/cause Macintosh lol. (Y)

You can install Darwin, but you won't have the pretty GUI and a lot of the features.

YEP THE ENTIRE OS WOULD NEED TO BE RECODED FROM SCRATCH

AND THE WOULD NO LONGER BE CALLED MAC'S BUT PC'S AND I THIN MS WOULD COUSE PROBLEMS

I hope that's a joke. Most of the code already runs on the x86 architecture, since it was based on FreeBSD. Currently, the open sourced parts of OSX, known as Darwin, already run on the x86 architecture. However, they leave out Cocoa and other Mac specific features.

Tek, I couldn't care less about their profits. However, they care about their profits, so this will never happen.
