No longer on the dole

I got a job.......woo hooo
I am a security guard at a power plant...out in the hills near town
coal fired right now but making a transistion to nuclear soon...
good to be working again.
but I have to wear a badge, carry a gun if necessary, radio, cell phone, first aid kit, etc
and I have to wear a uniform WITH underwear...sigh
that means bathing everyday too.....
but hey it is a job

My god, just got offered a job selling insurance for two dollars more an hour and they will pay my tuition....
man this is tough...then I would have to shave too...hmmm

Well, when it goes nuclear, your badge will have a bit of photo film in it - and if it's gone dark - OOPS!

You wouldn't get me near a nuke plant, no matter how much they were paying.

"Clean, safe, cheap power" - that was the nuclear promise, and it's failed on all counts:
CLEAN: Apart from the eventual nuclear waste, a hazard for many years to come that is really only being "swept under the carpet", thereis backround radiation increase, leaks, anddamage to local ecosystems from cooling water discharge.
SAFE: Chernobyl, Three mile island (one went up, the other only just avoided it) - plus leaks, losses, and the typical pattern of increased cancer.
CHEAP: No, and especially not with the huge cost of decomission at end of service life.
