Avi -> Dvd

Hey guys,

I'm looking for a proggy that will let me do, as the title suggests, send an avi to a dvd.

I can only seem to find a program that will create mpegs and m2v files.

Anyone know about this kind of thing?

cheers!

To be viewable in a normal DVD player, you'd need a DVD authoring program, if I'm not mistaken, such as Roxio DVD creator or iDVD on Mac. m2v is MPEG-2 video, which is the format DVD's use.

digerati will become famous soon enough

You can convert to Mpeg 2 with free programs as well, such as TMPEG. But the dvd authoring you will need other tools to use. Check http://www.doom9.org/ because there are free ones available.

My Suggestion would be Super DVD ripper. This program is excellent., allowing all types of ripping - by passes copyright protection too, just in case you wish to backup those important DVD's that you have bought. See pic below:

Also I use "Powerdirector" by Cyberlink for video editing. Info Here

You choose the encoder that you desire. I use XVID - install a codec pack.
