I have been a Zeppelin fanatic since the first one, I remember my mother freaking out when she heard the Lemon Song, It was banned in our household, because she is deeply religiouis and felt that it was a sin to listen to the provacative lyrics, but she in fact had a ton of old blues records, equally as provacative IMO. I listened to the pastor lambast all rock and roll music as I sit there in the pew. I made it my mission not only to learn all Page and Plants lyrics but also to trace the roots of the music. I found out that they are old than even my mother, and now I love Delta Blues music from the deep south. I just heard an interview with Robert Plant the other day, he admitted that some of his lyrics were just something that amused him at the time. Page drove the music forward with his fantastic chords and riffs. After listening to the Yardbirds over and over, I have to say that it could'nt have just been that. The Plant/Page combination was mysterious and magical, and Peter Grants marketing and promotion made it even more interesting. I enjoy Achilles Last Stand just as much as Stairway to Heaven, and I was a Lord of the Rings fan before they invented Windows Software...LOL. I think the devil can be found in all of us, sitting on our shoulders chatting with our superego. My mother has softened a bit, but she still believes that Rock and Roll music will never replace good old blues music. I for one love it all, but I can see right through all the legacy marketing and urban legends that the 70s genre created.

That's pretty cool.

Guess it could sorta be like when someone says they see a face in the clouds, after they put the idea in your head you see the face too, but it's not really there.
