don't soldiers carry enough without having to carry that large sack on there back's.

The whole idea is that the legs support the sack. They can carry both the exoskeleton and the ruck (total of 170lbs) with the amount of effort it would take to carry 5lbs of gear.

Also, it's powered by a small gas motor right now. The videos of it are quite noisy, though hopefully that gets fixed in later models.
