Big Grin Home Remedies

1. If you are choking on an ice cube, don't panic. Simply pour a cup of
boiling water down your throat and presto! The blockage will be almost
instantly removed.

2. Clumsy? Avoid cutting yourself while slicing vegetables by getting
someone else to hold them while you chop away.

3. Avoid arguments with the Mrs. about lifting the toilet seat by simply
using the sink.

4. High blood pressure sufferers: simply cut yourself and bleed for awhile,
thus reducing the pressure in your veins.

5. A mouse trap, placed on top of your alarm clock, will prevent you from
rolling over and going back to sleep when you hit the snooze button.

6. If you have a bad cough, take a large dose of laxatives, then you will be
afraid to cough.

7. Have a bad tooth ache? Hit your thumb with a hammer, then you will
forget about the tooth ache..

AND..... Sometimes we just need to remember what The Rules of Life really
are:

You need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it
should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the duct tape.

Everyone seems normal until you get to know them.

If you woke up breathing, congratulations! You have another chance!

And finally... Be really good to your family and friends. You never know
when you are going to need them to empty your bedpan.

Thought for the Day.
Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a
piece of our mind.

WD-40 only if it has Silcon in it.... will be a lubricant... WD-40 as we all see it on shelves... is a cleaner.... not a lubricant....

what?... i'm just warning you guys that if you use WD-40 on such things as a fan to get it turning again..... it'll only work for a short period before it COMPLETELY seises due to the WD-40 getting the gunk thinned out and moving... then finally pushing it out and completely drying..... WD-40 is EXCELLENT for cleaning up plugs and on Battery posts... (spark plugs)

The thread going off-topic isn't a problem. Dom and I are the best at making threads go off-topic.

WD-40 is not a lubricant. It is a penetrating water displacing solvent.

WD-40 literally stands for Water Displacement, 40th attempt. That's the name straight out of the lab book used by the chemist who developed WD-40 back in 1953. The chemist, Norm Larsen, was attempting to concoct a formula to prevent corrosion -- a task which is done by displacing water. Norm's persistence paid off when he perfected the formula on his 40th try.

http://home.howstuffworks.com/question155.htm

people say it's a lubricant- but all it does is prevent rust from forming because water can't get to the metal.. Every thing in THIS list that says "lubricates", could be lunbricated much better with an actaul lubricant, not a penetrating solvent.

**But when I was 10 years old I lubed my Schwinn bike chain with it- but I would have been better off cleaning the chain w/ WD40- then lubing it with motor oil, WD-40 is a horrible way to lube a bike chain.
