Are Bell Canada Techs Breaking Into My Home And Doing Repair Jobs for me?

My dad received our phone bill two days ago, and to our surprise there was a service charge on it of $65.95 plus tax. We had no idea what it was about since we did not call any Bell technician for anything.

The next day, I called Bell to find out what's up. After being denied once, put on hold twice til nowhere, I found out that the bill was for a tech coming into our home and checking out something Internet related. That really surprised me. Since nobody could get into our home unless they broke in. (Nobody is at home during the day because we all have school or work) Further inquiries suggested that Magma setup 2 service calls with Bell and apparently they sent a tech out twice. I didn't get anywhere with Bell so they told me to contact Magma.

I talked to Magma's Customer Relations lady. (With just one call, I love Magma's support

) The nice lady did some investigating and apparently Bell is saying that somebody came to our house and we let them in...TWICE! Total BULL DUNG! We didn't let a soul into our home, we were never asked to let any tech come in!

I just finished a conversation with the Magma Customer Relations lady and she said she'll get back to me in about a week because she's doing a follow up on the claim. I complained about how Bell Techs should be getting their customers to sign something saying that they let the Tech into their home, but she said that Bell has denied them of that.

I'm not too pissed, but I'm very upset at what was once a simple ISP change over from Rogers has turned out. From crappy Bell lines causing my internet troubles and now this.

bell is notorious for hidden charges, my mom made shitloads of calls to india, and the lines wouldn't connect, they would charge her those few extra dollars and stuff. we cut off their long distance.

be careful, i actually never had a problem with rogers we have been with them for over 10 years never really had a problem. I did and called numerous times and it was fixed. In addition, I think speeds are at 5mbps now which totally rocks. i hate dsl and bell are thieves, but they have dependable lines only reason why I'm with them even though sprint can take over nowadays.

The charge isn't hidden. It was just thrown on because they're lying about entering my home and fixing something!
