it's related to a lake that was near that wasn't actually a lake.... long story short.. the lake was orginal called devils lake... then cattle got loose and took of to the lake (which ended up being a mucky marsh)... which stopped the cattle in there tracks... after that.... a town grew... and was called lucky lake... the lake however is now called duck lake as it's a preservation for loons and ducks of all variation....
