24 hours of Le Mans

Its' on Speed channel right now, just started. Limited commercial interruption.

Good battle between Ferrari and Chevy in GT-S class, Audi's dominating prototypes- Should be a good race. Check it out if you get Speed Channel.

Yeah F1 is boring as hell. F1 on an oval would be good though. I can'y believe that Corvette crashed. What an idiot. I thought those and the Ferrari's could be a good battle- still might be, but that Corvette has some time to make up.

Some of those MOTO GP races are insane. I watch them when they're on too.

Another amazing thing is that one of those prototype cars is a freaking diesel! It has double the torque of a similar sized gas engine but just a little less horsepower. It belches smoke all over the place, and is so powerful that it burns up the clutches- If not for that it would be a contender in it's class.

Its co-sponsored by CAT (Caterpillar) - you know, the earth moving machines... Strange but true.

This isn't that car I don't think- but a nice pic.

Oh, this is one of those cars that crashed and drove back to the pits- another nice pic.

EDIT-

here's that diesel car-
and a short article- http://www.pistonheads.com/motorspor...0&storyId=8355

I'm still up watching this- I'm a zombie now though......

Edit- it's over - I watched it all. The guy is a 6 time winner, in 8 starts or something like that..

Pretty crazy, huge record broken..

The stupid gravel all over the road didn't help much, somebody decided it would be funny to put sharp edged gravel all over a road where cars go 200mph. Took out allot of cars..

Audi never DNF'd with an engine failure in 52 starts- They won 45 out of 52 starts. Good record...

All the flags of all the countries attending were on display on a big wall- Last night someone removed the American Flag- Then the Corvettes won.. and they wouldn't let him do a donut- What's wrong with those people..

I watched the World Rally last week, now that was good TV racing, crashing all over the place rolling cars, then guys hammering panels out with sledge hammers so they can finish to the check point it was actually fun.

Yeah I watched that too- It was nuts- that course tore up those cars. I watch WRC every time it's on- Speed Channel covers it pretty well.
