A US woman has inflicted the ultimate punishment on her errant 13-year-old son and sold his PS2 on eBay.

The teen ne'er-do-well apparently ran amok in the Arkansas household - his misdemeanours include drinking Dad's beer and a bottle of 1995 Dom Perignon champagne - and as a result dear old Ma deployed the big, big stick. As she herself puts it:

The device in question was secured for $122.50 when the auction ended on 31 May. The cash will certainly go some way towards the parents recouping the $177 mum reckons the boy's drunken shennanigans have cost. Obstreperous teenagers take note. ®

er..... i think a good... DAMN good paddling..... and being cut off from a few things would have serficed.... what's with this selling off inatimate items..... how's the going to teach someone? now if he was made to work somewere for say half the min wage... and twice the usual labour..... to pay back what the value of it all was... then i think that would seriously do the trick....

The parents lost the bottle of wine without any say.......the boy lost his game machine without any say......sounds pretty even until you think about it.........the parents paid for the game machine as well most likely.......sounds to me like they just lost even more money.....cause you know they didn't get back what they had paid for it.

And they are bragging about teaching there kid this lesson?

But think about it... As long as the kid doesn't have to do anything ...get nailed for anything... Bah... let the system go.. they obviously got a computer... nothin stop him from playing the game on it...
