I'm back!
After spending two weeks in Florida and meeting hot chicks, I'm finally back!

Man, it was fun.

I guess I appreciate Florida more now that I've matured.

The rides were great, and the women were beautiful.

Anyways, it's now time to become obsessed with Star Wars Galaxies again. I bought it the day before I left, and I'm in-love with it (even though it's making me buy two sticks of 256 Rambus Ram).

******Tech problem******

I figured I'd keep this in the thread instead of making a new one, since it's not a MAJOR PROBLEM.

But..yeah, I was looking at adult sites last night, and I didn't have Norton Anti-Virus installed. I went to scan for spyware and it came up. Only thing is, it keeps multiplying I think. I'm scanning my C: drive right now with Norton, but it keeps comming up.

C:windows32 seems to pop up in the address bar after I fix the problem, and it goes back to some useless search engine.

That's the site.

The one spyware I can think of off-hand is something called wwwcoolsearch or something equally as retarded as that.

wb luck..... as for the virus or whathave you.... sometimesyou can't get rid of them easily.... in the end... it sometimes is more productive to freshly install everything anyways.....

It's doing fine now. I couldn't do a fresh install anyways. I just did it losing 40 gb of..*ehm* 'things' in my music folder.

I hate reformating. It's always the more important things I forget to back up. Yet, I have countless cds of useless crap that I end up NEVER putting back onto my Crive, am I the only one who has a problem like this? heh.

It's a DSP Exploit and a CoolWWWSearch spyware thing. It's still up there, looks like I'll try your plan.

Sorry for not editing my last post, and adding this in there. But I can't, because everytime I do, I have some big tranny that looks like she's been hit with a bag of "WTF".

They keep poping up, and never go away. I'm using Housecall right now. Apparently, it's something that Windows XP had a problem with, a flaw if you will.

WOW! So far I have 33 trojans. Ugh, the hell man. I think these trojans are created by Catholic extremists or something, because I got them when looking at adult sites.

this is what you do.... partition your hardrive into a few sections... that way when you want to clean something up.... just reformat the main C partition... which will leave everything alone.... and untouched...

lol....you running xp... you can do it very easily when you install xp...when you get to the part were it ask you which partition whaever to install to... delete the current one... HIT C key to create... punch in a number (in megabyte such as 10240 for the c and 5120 for the d which will be your swapfile and say a good chunk for d for games and possibly e having a good chunk for what ever else)..... just one thing.. you have to backup everything if you want to keep anything... as your'll have to completely wipe the hd clean to setup seperate partitions...

or get a copy of partition magic and you wont even lose your current setup (although in your case it might be best!)

I used pitstop to scan for viruses. Right now I'm in safe mode.

It found the following:

Luck, try McAfee Stinger- http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/

try Bazooka Spyware Scanner http://www.kephyr.com/spywarescanner...ource=appvisit

Also Adaware and Spybot also- they can help a lot even if they don't dp well on some..

Look up the rest on google and you will find manual uninstall guides.



Also you should be running a firewall like Sygate personal firewall 5.5 pro-- it's awesome and has an intrusion detection system that makes things like those not be able to call home or in some cases get installed at all.

I just reformatted, twice.

I need some info. For some reason, my game froze. I gave it a cold boot. When I rebooted it, a blue screen came up telling me something about some software or hardware error. That windows shut itself down to prevent damage. I couldn't go in safe mode or anything.

It's fine now, but would you believe, I have that exploit thing again, f'in a' man!

Okay, I took a screenshot of the problems I'm having.

I use spybot, but when I delete the crap in it, it just comes back. Even when I change it back to the regular homepage, it goes back to some generic spam page.

You should run a software firewall to see what's trying to access the internet, then you instantly know what's going on and can stop it... the firewall will ask for permission if the thing is trying to access the internet.. A router is a very effective incoming firewall...

Doesn't Adaware or Spybot give any more info on the files in question? Did you try Stinger and Bazooka?- What did they find?


Ir seems like maybe the DSO exploit is maybe no big deal and not even your problem..

I'd save your important data format and reinstall you can never be 100% sure you have gotten it all
