u-Guru doesn't work, it's buggy as hell and it's best to turn it off.. Nice idea, but too bad it doesn't work at all- it just freezes up people's machines.. That's all I've heard about it.

hhhmmmmm....

Somehow I missed this in the News Forum. I like the looks of that and think I'll check it out a bit more closely.

As for U-Guru being buggy, I haven't found that to be so on this system. I run 24/7 and haven't encountered any crashes/freezups that could be traced to U-Guru. Actually, the only problem I've had was when I pushed the FSB up just a bit too far, and all that did cas cause a spontanoius re-boot.

I've also noticed in that past that I've been using all sorts of hardware & software that folks always claimed were PsOS but for some strange reason I never had any problems. Could it be that my lack of problems comes from reading all installation notes, updates, and (gasp) even the manuel before I install something?

Maybe you got lucky, From all the things I've read a system can always be pushed further w/o U-Guru enabled... I have no personal experience with it, but check the Abit forums, people hate it mostly and complain that it just doesn't work. Just what I've heard though.
