but to be honest..i watch most of the olympics, regardless of gender

Swimming, diving, water polo, track and field, gymnastics, badminton (!), volleyball, even synchronized swimming - all of it - since 1964 - haven't missed a summer or winter games since then (I was 6).

It is still the most uncolored, dramatic, REAL display of sport and the humanity of sport there is.

I used to have a life size poster of Mark Spitz with his seven gold medals around his neck in my room when I was a teenager.

Saw the US Mens freestyle relay take third last evening in the final...
