After being late for an exam this morning i decided to post this:
1.) get an alarm clock that is annoying as hell. 2.) Take off the snooze button. 3.) Epoxy over the opening of the snooze button so you can never EVER use it! 4.) Before epoxy dries, insert a 1"x1" tab of metal, perferably brass. 5.) Alarm clock needs to be on the other side of the room. 6.) attach 220 (house electrican current) power and ground to the existing metal peice near snooze button. 7.) Dont forget to SET THE ALARM CLOCK!

If you sleep in the same room as your computer, it can be a great wakeup tool. It's always across the room, has a large sound output, can literally play any sound you want (you can become immune to the alarm if you have the same sound every day), and is free.

Heh, I've been using the same alarm clock since I was in the 7th grade (I'm 36 now). It has NEVER failed to wake me up when set. I'm just amazed that the dang thing still works.

i've turned mine off a couple of times (not snooze, i turned the alarm off) without waking up, so i had to turn the alarm volume up to "loud" (soft was already the volume of most alarm clocks) and move it across my room.
