the thing with quadra jets is that there both the best and worst carb ever made. when everything is set up and running properly, they are an amazing carb. when something goes wrong, there a worthless piece of junk.

it's an s-trend......probably has a cheapo 2.2SFI 4 banger engine in it. it's piss-poor truck to get lifted like that.

v8 conversion.....spins the 40's without power braking. Detroit Locker in the rear, Dana 60 in the front. Chrome Molly shafts. So much flex you can remove the rear coils if flexed far enough. $30,000, and 9 months of work. R-E-S-P-E-C-T.

what's the purpose of having such a small large truck, if it won't be out in the dirt often?
i like the nimbleness of a sports car weaving in and out of traffic easily hitting 100+

dude, these are daily drivers.......they arent in the mud, or dirt, because we have neither in Texas (it doesnt rain here....) We drive these to work, day in, day out. What's the purpose of going 100+mph, only to get a ticket or run into a ditch (you should know about that....)
I respect sports cars just as much as lifted trucks. We have our hobbies, your's is different. When you ran off the road, did i laugh at you, say your rx-8 was a piece of shit? no. I was concerned for your safety, and wished you luck with your situation. All i ask is the same respect. Damn man............ |

.It's just that my only beef w/s10s as lifted trucks, is that it doesn't look right to me for some reason. lowered, they look great IMO. but in the lift department, i'd rather give that to an F-150 or a Chevy 1500. a v8 conversion is awesome on an s10 seeing that the 4cyl. is a POS engine (power wise), and the v6 is decent, and having a v8 conversion is a nice custom job on it .

all i can say about 85 S-10 blazers is that their V6s DONT FUCKING DIE! same goes with the clutch....
my dads old 85 was at over 300K miles on the V6 when we sold it. motor was never rebuilt, clutch was never replaced, and the car still ran strong. took 3 tries in the morning to start the car, but with out fail, on the 3rd start it started right up and went. in the end though, the truck was beat to hell and falling apart, but it just wouldnt die.
