so, i got my TV set up last night with the help of my dad. it's pretty awesome.

and today, i did that favor for him and he thanked me for it. it was pretty cool.

both of my parents are immigrants from Nicaragua. My sibblings and I are born here. my parents have been petitioning for their US residency since they first came here to the US. my mom got her US residency a couple years back, but my dad's request was declined.

so, my dad went to re-submit his request for his US residency again because this time he could have been deported back to Nicaragua. however, the only other method of re-submitting his US residency request was through me.

the reason why i asked him for the TV was because lately the relationship between him and i has deteriorated significantly over the last year or so. and if he is going to be my responsibility, i would have just liked to get something out of the whole deal at least. hence, the TV.

man this sucks im trying to register at my university but they keep bouncing me around man, i think i should just blow up on them. they don't even know what they're doing, man this sucks now i have to wait till Monday only to go through this shit again.

sometimes i wish we were still living in the old days so that i can challenge them to sword fight and end their miserable existence without any consequences.

I could have been at home sleeping..... man this sucks

Yeah...

But maybe there are just way to many requests that they get backed up and can never be big enough?

But on a side note if you apply you can at least stay in this country "safe" for 5 years right? Or can they deport you and have you wait else ware?

so i ordered my first Asus laptop with a HD3870 built into it.

wasn't planning on spending that much.... wow... expensive..

but i had no other options.. it was either shitty laptops with terrible cpu's and or 17" models that were decent but wouldn't fit the requirements.

no, once you have your US residency, you're basically in. you also have almost all of the same rights as a US citizen. you can work for certain public offices even. you can't vote though. not until you become a US citizen.

some don't... at least some of the new ones i've got...

mostly they still do because there are still alot of places around the world that don't have highspeed available yet.... even in the province i'm in.

It'd cost more to remove the process for putting it in there than to leave it there, kind of like scroll lock and keyboards lol. That's why all keyboard companies haven't moved over to the better design that Microsoft came up with yet, it'll take a major desing change or way of doing things that has to be done to make them change that and/or something to justify the cost such as the real estate that it would use to be reserved/needed to be used by something more useful and needed as in a different component or something, that is more likely to happen and be the reason for the modem to be removed lol.

speaking of HDMI, i need an HDMI cable for my 360. the VGA PC connection for the 360 works great for video, but my TV will not make use of the audio inputs on the back as long as it is in the PC input signal mode.

It's actually pretty easy to use, and pretty damn hard to f*ck things up - unlike dreamweaver, which I used for my last website (school project)

one-touch uploading to mobileme is great too

but, you have to be on a mac to use iWeb
