Don't get me wrong the industry loves a trend, publishers make easy
money by draining the teet of the genre and being the sheep we are, we
comply and go along with it.
At one point Futuristic shooters were the shiz, next it was WW2 games,
then we went into the Psykenisis genre and now it seems to be zombies.
What next, Flight Simulators? God forbid...

There's nothing quite like a modern day epic, Left 4 Dead proved that
with it's fantastic blend of schizophrenic zombies and the fact you
actually need your squad to stay alive.
Killing Floor just seems to have taken L4D, stripped out all the
atmosphere and tension and plonked itself down on the market with a
price tag.

Personally i think it's another excuse to move away from Generic grey
& brown space shooters, and to move into generic grey & brown (and
occasionally red) zombie shooters.
What's your opinion on the recent trend/plague/... infection of zombie titles?

now advise please on the car, a buddy of mine has one and i like the way it handles and the fact that it comes standard with a satalite radio (or so i think, if not i'm sure you can always add it for a reasonable price) it handles rough and manly imo.

edit: it has a faster time than the porche carrera on the nurburg ring

On the car they seem too work well seen a lot of them at work. The ignition system is strange though it uses a multiplexed starter/accessory line.

Re: Randomness Resurected

Not sure a lady I was dating PK owned a 2005 Saturn Ion. One day it wouldn't start she called CAA and the dude grabbed the key and it started right up.

She isn't stupid and drives the car everyday its the ignition system that is messed up on those. Cobalt, Pursuit, G6, Montana SV6 and Impala's/Malbu's manufactured after 2005.

The vehicle itself works well

I've heard over years of use and abuse most Chevys break down, except their trucks, other car I was looking at buying is the 09 Mustang GT, but I think I'll hold off and see if anything interesting comes out next year. The new Nissan Skyline GTR looks pretty impressive but it's a little bit pricey, I like it though enough to maybe get one.

actually, the SS model isn't Turboed, it's Supercharged .

back when i had my rx8, i found out quite a bit about the SSes because when i used to go to the weekly "spirited driving events" (read: illegal car races ), i met up with a few different owners of the SSes. and off the line, they would beat me in my rx8 simply because they have about 40tq. more. but, my rx8 would catch up in the long run because i had about 35hp more

Cobalt SS Turbo Key Features

Short-throw 5-speed manual transmission
Brembo® 4-piston front brake calipers
Performance tuned suspension with monotube shock absorbers
18" painted forged aluminum wheels
SS-specific front and rear fascias and lower rocker mouldings
UltraLux and Premium cloth front bucket seats embroidered with "SS" logos
Titanium-faced sport gauges
A-pillar mounted boost gauge
260-watt premium amplified sound system with 7 Pioneer™ speakers, including a subwoofer

There is a super charged model as well, but I'm interested in the turbocharged model. I've been in one and actually seen the turbo so I can assure you they exist and I didn't just spoof half the GM website.

Cool thing is though since most of this isn't my money I could get a Mazda Miata MX5 or really bring the house down in style and get a BMW 3 Series (maybe a 325i )

The Mustangs are a nice looking car but cheaply made. We had a few into the shop with the new body style and in fact GM won't be making a 6 cylinder version of the Camaro because they can't compete with the Mustang's price.

It's easy to see where they saved money too the plastic interior panels are like eggshells and get this ... no joke

The kick panel covers on the bottom of the door frame is held on with double sided tape ... how cheesy is that?

Re: Randomness Resurected

The bumper covers on the outside are eggshell thin on that Mustang too...... neighbor has one with a shattered rear cover...... possible that an eggshell is actually thicker.

I don't like that new Camaro....... having had a '68 Camaro, a '70 Trans AM, and an '84 Camaro, it's not like I don't like the model, but that new one is fugly.

That Cobalt looks cool Callandor, Man! I'd never be able to get in and out of these new cars anymore

The Cobalt is actually a nice looking car depending on the colour. On the Mustang even the metal in the back deck is thin. We changed the rear speakers on a couple and you can make the whole deck buckle by pushing on it with one finger.

I don't care for the look of the Camaro either but have only seen pictures so far. Of the 3 the Challenger would be my choice.

Re: Randomness Resurected

Good gym session on saturday, made some progress on my backflips.
Got the tuck nearly down i think can almost land properly lol.

Did a front 180 off a vault box with a nice big run up and came down a bit too hard though, stabbed my thumb into the mat. Doesn't sound too bad but the mats are new and pretty hard, split the skin under my nail and it was bleedin pretty bad.
Still sore today but it's all cleared up
