I often drove too fast on my lessons. The instructor would say "What's the speed limit here?"

Usually the equation went Speed Limit + 5 = My speed.

When I took driver's ed, (back in the stone age with a Flintstones car) the instructor was always bytching at me about going too fast...... one day this truck came out of nowhere and I pulled a fantastic off road maneuver, missed the truck, didn't damage the car and nobody got hurt (there was a lot of screaming from the kids in the back seat though) I continued to drive as if nothing happened....... after about a mile I heard the instructor finally sigh and mutter "Damn..... You pass."

When i did my test i only recieved 3 minor faults (out of a 16 allowed), 2 of them for setting off in 2nd gear when i thought the car was in 1st, and another minor fault for observation (or the lack of it) whilst performing a reverse park.

Being told i passed was the greatest feeling, There's nothing quite like it
