Behaviours...
Well, I see my GOTH Girls: Rate! thread got shut down...mostly due to a few bad apples...but I want to create a thread asking you guys about the behaviours of your peers at work.
WARNING: THIS IS A SEVERE RANT POINTED TOWARDS A FELLOW EMPLOYEE. A co-worker of mine recently acquired a Managerial Posistion here at work. He was granted this posistion under the assumption that he had done his previous job well and he had managerial experience; when in fact, he had none of this. He is now in the same posistion I applied for, with higher pay, better benefits, and less responsibility. I have worked in my same posistion for almost a year and a half now...and I managed a Taco Bell for two years and ran the Fab room for Scrub Duds, a textile plant for hospitals. I'm seriously thinking about turning him in for some messed up stuff he did when he was on my level. What do you guys think? Have you had any similar experiences? |

I feel your pain...I typically play 'employee' at best buy and circuit city just because I get so mad at the employees doing a poor job...so I shoo them away and help people myself

That's some funny sh!t. I remember when I was working for Kay*Bee Toys(before their National Shutdown, that's why I don't work there anymore), my manager had left for the evening and I didn't get off for another four hours. My friend Jeremy came in to say "What's Up' and I suggested he do my job for me as a joke. He did just that, put on my smock and all, ran the cash register, etc. while I played "customer" by asking him the most f*cked up questions and the most ridiculous requests I could come up with.

End result, he promoted the guy who sat next to me without consultation or interview. The best part of this story though - our company lost the contract and the staff got moved into the company who won the contract, but they didn't want any of the management and both of those guys were made redundant after 3 months. hehehehe |

Without being harsh mate, its time to move on and find some new opportunities. The guys who underrecognize new are very unlikely to give you a chance in the future.
And btw - you never know what the world holds, your colleague may just catch rabies or plague or something worse. And then you will be able to smile again. Mwuhahahaaaa! |

Best Buy is full of many "non-intelligent" workers... I remember helping a guy looking for a video card and had stuff written on a piece of paper that said "Absolutely no PCI Express" yet the guy had recommended an X600XT.... Thank god I helped that poor bastad out....

I'd like to get a job at best buy or circuit city, I've even helped customers when the guy didn't know shit because I friggin HATE my job at costco. Not for the job, but my co-workers and my supervisors, bastards have refused to give us our lunch break on more than one occasion. I'm only staying until they lay me off so I can put them on my resume.

i wouldnt mind wokring at someplace like bestbuy. i know more about what im talking about there then most of the employes. although there have been a few times they actually knew what they were talking about. i must say i was completly shocked when i heard them say something inteligent and informative.
hell just last week i was helping out another customer about some video game stuff when the employes didnt know the diffrence between an xbox and a PS2.... they were going on about how the games were made for both systems so either version could be used on either system.... |

They also bitch when I said I had to leave at 9pm even though it was my day off and I called in to say I'd help as much as I can since some co-workers called and said they were getting swamped. |
