Most Powerful Eruption in the Universe Discovered

US scientists have detected the largest explosion ever in the universe, which saw a mass equivalent to about 300million suns sucked into a black hole.

"The eruption, which has lasted for more than 100million years, has generated energy equivalent to hundreds of millions of gamma-ray bursts," NASA, the US space agency, said yesterday.

A black hole is an object — typically a collapsed star — whose gravity is so strong that its escape velocity exceeds the speed of light. Since nothing is known to exceed the speed of light, nothing can escape from a black hole.
The speed of light is a constant in empty space (2.99793 X 108 m/s, or 186,000 miles/s).

I love science, one day when we are actually smart enough to completely understand it. I will be amazed, shouldn't fear something like this. I am fasincated, if only we knew had to harness that power. You thought the nuclear bomb was scary LOL. That is just funny.

Two things facinate me about this subject. First is the size of it, 300 million suns is unfathomable to me. Second is the apparent randomness of these things that happen, or at least the diversity between the phenomena... plus, the pictures look kind of cool! lol

.. no really we think we know alot... but we learn every day we where wrong in asumtions we make becouse they don't have any idea nor do the have the proper data to make such even a educated guess they just male asumtions based on what they know and like 1% of the actall data seems the numbers will undoubtly change as we learn more and get more advaced..

but the only sure thing is WE don't know!
