I'm glad I didn't, you work every day, early, for thirty bucks a week, or less. Screw that, when I was a kid, referreed hockey games, I made more in an hour then my budds with paper routes did in a week. That used to boil a few of them when we would go to the mall or something, and I had made enough money earlier that day to buy computer games and such and they had to work for like a month to do it. Plus reffing hockey is a bit more enjoyable that delivering papers, IMO. Paper routes are still better than soaking off your parents though, it is admirable.

Never had one either, and judging by what's been said so far, I should maybe be thankful I haven't

yep, I had one. Gave up after a few months as I had made enough money to buy my gameboy and a few games. That was me happy.

I got paid about $100/week when I was ages 10-12 to do my paper route. The great thing is that my route was only a three block radius.
God, I love rich people! They're so gullible!

I used to go around picking up as many paper routes as I could a month before christmas, then I would hit the jackpot! Around 300$ a route, one time I had 5 routes at a time right before christmas than I dropped them right after

I wish I had a paper route. When I was 13 I was cleaning toilets at a school. I worked 24 hours a week as a janitor after school and on weekends. It wasnt as bad as it sounds all the other guys i worked with were cool. It tought me work ethics and I was able to get what I wanted without asking my parents for the money. I put myself through drivers ed with that job.
As soon as I was old enough to get a work permit I quickly got another job though. Toiletbiwl cleaner can do some crazy things to your head after a couple years.
