another-user, you need to take a look at this page: http://www.corvettemuseum.com/motora.../primary.shtml
Corvettes didn't have hidden headlights until 1963. The 53-62's were exposed. As far as I'm concerned, 62 was the last year that they made corvettes that were truly sport cars. Anything after that has to be classed as either a muscle car or a sport tourer.

i want an STS-v. that is one ubersexy car.
and the STi is a great performing car. However i would never purchase one. It has the stiffest clutch i have ever seen in a car. Shift anywhere over 5K and it slams you into the seat.. However it is quite fast, and handles like a dream. |

wrong link of the front of the BMW 7.....looks like you posted the GT40 again
![]() but very nice stuff. I don't much care for the new corvette's headlights, or the whol "Bentley/Rolls" scene, but yes...I will take a GT40 or a Nismo Z

i sat in the STS, it wasnt what i was hoping for thought but it was prolly one of those ones without the GPS on it, and they had the the new DTS on display couldnt see the inside but outside generally looked the same with different headlights and rear lights, kinda like a shift for the corvette. |

i just got back from the chicago autoshow this afternoon, was fun as hell.
unfortunatly i didnt have a digital camera with me, so no pics from that. i walked by the new International's when i was there, they make a full size Hummer seem tiny. i dont know who would ever even think about getting one of those things unless you were hauling some huge stuff all the time. i saw the new Charger up close this afternoon when i was there and i must say its not worthy of the title. really it just looks like i modified Chrysler 300, it in no ways even resembles the old chargers. they had a small muscle car showing there in one of the back areas. had the GT500 from Gone in 60 seconds there. also had the prototype for the GT500 there. back in Chevy's section they had a 1967 Camaro Pace Car up on a flatbed trailer. god i want that car. all in all i thought the chicago show was pretty good, just sucked for how crowded it got. |

1. terrible compression for most american cars 2. interior on them looks flat and a poor attempt to make it look interesting. they lack the silver accents and shape and style of the buttons which japanese and european cars are better at. the camaro is deadly but i do not want a gasaholic |

i like the new vette though, i dont mind the lights are gone. no cars today use them, it was kind of a 80s/early 90s style. but it wasnt something not stylish. so if they stayed it would of been COOLER, but i wont flame GM for gettin rid of it. the back does look very solid and the z06 was nutty

god i know. my corvettes a gas hog. does MAYBE 12MPG on premium and takes a lead additive.
as for the fancy interior, i dont care about that. its built to go fast as hell, not be a luxury vehicle. my vettes intierior is just a bare bones set up in there. heat, AC (some times, it was an option back then) speedometer and tach, normal engine read outs, and an AM/FM radio. thats it. nothing shiny, nothing addition, just the bare minimum with a very conservative look. the car IS 36 years old.... but it still it was just built to go like hell. |

also notice on american cars, the buttons on the center console always have big open gaps of black flat areas. japanese cars fill this up with ridges and contours, it makes more sense and looks more fancy. i almost got into a 5-series and but 2 punkasses stayed in there since the GPS and everything else was active |
