I just wanted to post a little thread on this wonderful woman and her music, and the tragic way she died of cancer at such at such a young age and how she never saw how much people really loved her music.

I know it will sound a little corny but in the past few years when I have had some hard times, she really got me through alot of problems just by sitting and listening to her amazing voice and the way her whole "aura" just envelops you when you listen to her.

My music tastes are varied from metal to classical but really there was/is something special about this lady. There are many websites detailing her life, loves and history.

I urge all of you who havent listened to her yet to go and check some of her songs out, songs that spring to mind would be her wonderful renditions of "somewhere over the rainbow", "anniversay", "fields of gold", "Tennessee waltz" and "Imagine".

ok, enough rambling, I just wanted to share this with you guys and perhaps her music can touch another person.

i actually have her Blues Alley album somewhere in this mess...havent listened to it in a few years though...thanks for the reminder.
