And after 10 years of driving i only just got my first speeding ticket a month ago..... DAMN cameras... £60 fine and 3 points on my licence

Step 4. Tell the nice Police Officer you thought they were real..... authorities would step in and inform you are imagining things (then you would have a hell of explanation of you're own mental state.)

MIG, I'm suprised you only just got a ticket, I passed through your end

(pun intended) just recently and I don't think I've seen as many speed cameras and hungry looking traffic coppers as I saw on the A1. (with the exception of the M25 that is).

19....been driving since 16...no tickets yet *knock on wood*...but I live in cobb county where the average speed is a good 15-20mph over the speed limit

Even the cops do 80 in a 55 on the freeway

i do 200km/h sometimes on the highway, limit here is 90-100 but ppl usually go 120. i have street raced a few times and for fun went 160 on a regular wide road near my house with a limit of 50.

I know were most of the static speed cameras are....... the last few weeks i have noticed a damn high increase of mobile speed camera units around....(this is what i were picked up by...hidden behind a bus shelter)

it's so annoying that i got clocked at 35mph on a 30mph road.No houses or anything that can cause any serious harm.... 33mph is the allowable speed.Damn 2mph cost £60 plus points..... the most infuriating is my insurance premium is most likely going to increase because of this... effectively fined twice...

As for the insurance premium increasing.... it depends on who you are insured with... norwich union direct don't change your premium unless you actually have to claim... my mum has two SP30s and one SP60 on her license and something like 28 years of no claims discount.... lol - the two SP30s come off her license in June and she's not going to get a discount on her insurance!

damn, here in the states you can easily do 5mph over and the cops dont give a damn. unless of course you find one thats on a power trip or just trying to fill his quota.

i havnt been pulled over yet, but every day last year i took my corvette out, i swear there where 10x the amount of cops out on the street. cops around here watch for young drivers in old detroit muscle too... im actually suprised they havnt pulled me over because of our seatbelt laws here. i have no shoulder harness in that car, and any cop could pull me over for it. of course then i just argue the grandfather clause and cant get a ticket... but of course then he could see me lacking a speedometer and tach, which might get me a ticket for that instead.

That i do agree with...... it can simply be down to a money thing....... my sis got a ticket last year and no increase in her premium.

but my premium is coming up in a couple of months...so it will be down to shopping around....i am never loyal to any company...i always go for best price.

try www.confused.com if youre in the uk, its brilliant, just type your details in and it goes and uses those details for loads of insurers around the web like norwich union, direct line, etc and some smaller ones i cant remember, anyway, the results it returns vary greatly

oh god do not even tell me about getting tickets......... i have gotten at least 10 tickets since i got my license....... which was two years ago. they were mostly for speeding, soem for not having license or registration on me.... another for being in the right lane and not passing on the parkway.......... so as of now i have 9 points on my license, but i have to have insurance cause i live with my parents....... so yeah......
