word. I love firefox. I keep forgetting to update my spyware scanners because I just plain never need them.

Sure there'll be a day when spyware people get smart(its already starting) and firefox is no longer so safe...but that day is not TODAY so for now I'm having fun being a lazy ass.

no browser is safe, and IE6 with SP2 is very secure if you set it up right, its a common misconception that people instantly think IE sucks when in fact it doesnt. people seem to forget that when firefox released V1 there were more holes in it than swiss cheese. is this due to sloppy programming? no its due to the fact its more popular now, so the nasty people spend more time finding vunerabilities as they want to target as many people as possible. this is what frequently happens with microsoft software.

after all why target "dingleberry browser V14" when 250 people from billions use it?

I use Firefox cause it fits my needs (well.. Netscape 8.0 Beta does ) but it still uses the engine

Edit: PS, I loved the second AD.

no, you know what? IE6 really does suck. I'm sure its much more secure now, but it always bugs me with all these questions all the time...I STILL get spyware and occasional warnings from the virus scanner while using the new IE6 (And yes I've set it up properly) and finally...its just not as feature packed (tabbed browsing anyone?) (not to mention Nuke This)

Must be all the pron sites you visit

tabbed browsing you can ad, free so I dont know what the big deal about this is. As for spyware, it must be your setup cause ive not had a single piece of spyware via IE6 on SP2 in months. My friend was on firefox for a long time and he is back on IE after bad experiences with V1, so thats the reverse side of the coin.

Anyway im not being loyal to any single browser as I have to use them all for testing but this "IE sucks" statement is getting old and frequently nonsense. I see more errors with recent firefox builds than either IE or opera, they are getting sloppy.

Are these their reactions to using firefox the first time, or to having IE crash on them again because the average person is a fisking nitwit and clicks "yes" to every pop up they see at warp speed.

PS - IE's engine is faster/more efficient then firefox, or ANY of those other replacement browsers....wanna know why? It's Explorer..which is running already
