I'm 40 years old today!

Yep, that's right. I turned 40 years old today. Still playing top level rugby union (when work allows!), and still doing the hard yards in the Australian Army. Not to mention - I still love my PC games!

Everyone I work with was shocked to find out how old I was. Just goes to show that my self-pickling experiment, using Bourbon, is having the desired affect.

I am getting old though; The other day, the Physical training instructor at my work rang me and said "There is a marathon on next monday, we want you to run in it.

I told him not a chance.

He said that it was for blind kids and spastics.

I thought "Fuck it - I could win this"!

Anyway, I'm currently charged with preparing a Military team that is being sent to the Darfur region of Sudan. Wish I was going, but after Aceh earlier this year, its kinda nice to be staying home for a while.

But it will only be for a while. I'm scheduled to do another tour of Iraq in July.

Until then I'm just gonna sit back with my good mate Jim Beam and enjoy my new found middle-age.

Good god! It would take that long too. I've been a member for a couple of years now, and I've only just gotten past 170 posts!

I can appreciate that. I may be getting old, but I ain't a fogey yet. But I'm going crazy trying to work out what she did with the flamingos. Heck, what would anybody do with 40 pink flamingos?

Oh...i didn't buy the flamingoes..you rent them...and they come set up the flamingoes and signs and stuff in yer yard at 2am, and take them down the next night at about 2am...it's an awesome service
