Liver and onions

Nice thread title eh?

I had a conversation with a friend today and we got around to discussing dinner. I mentioned I was thinking of having liver, onions, baked beans and creamed potatoes.

He almost threw up as I guess he finds the thought of eating cooked liver disgusting, personally I think he is a bit of a tool.

Anyway, what foods do you guys find revolting? the only thing I can think of would be "tripe", which is basically sheeps stomach.

tripe's the intestines isn't it?

I personally find most meat disgusting... not because of taste, because of texture. I've never tried liver but that's probably something I could manage to eat tbh.

macdonalds chicken nuggets... those are disgusting. Most processed meat is lol where they just chuck everything in to make a paste and form it.

Have a bit of a problem with what goes into sausages - but i eat them anyway when they're cooked properly lol.

I'm a very fussy eater lol

love that for dinner now and then.

Black pudding & hagis is something i dare not try.But something i hate the most from what i have tried is crab (puke).

crab is nice actually tastes quite like chicken, but black pudding, thats basically just dried, hardened blood, ill pass

I love black pudding, but you can't think about what it is when you're eating it, eeekkkk... it probably is one of the most disguting things, but i still eat it lol.

I can't stand sea-food on any level. The worst was when I was duped into eating Onion rings, that turned out to be Squid rings, stupid spanish signs, heh.

But all that mussels, oysters, crabs yuk, even fish makes me feel ill.

sheeps stomach is for hagis... tripe is from pigs and i'm sure it's intestines... i'll find out

It comes in 4 types: the fat part of the first belly (called gras double in France), and three different sections of the honeycomb (the second stomach of the cow)--light, dark, and the partial honeycomb of the 2nd belly's extreme end.

It's also almost 100% indigestible... so you eat it and it just comes out the other end... nasty

I hate liver. Couldn't stand to eat it everytime my grandmother cooked it. And tripe is digusting. It smells gross and i'm sure it tastes digusting also

Btw Z, I'm curious to know why you think your friend is a bit of a tool. Is it because he doesn't like liver or for other reasons?

i like beef, chicken, fish.....and well...pretty much i have some kind of meat in all of my meals

Anything at Taco bell... Even the commercials make me a little sick..
grade D beef... yum..

I was a cook for a few years at a restaurant.. I made a pretty good liver and onion dinner. It was the only time I ever ate it, when I made it.. It is actually pretty good. Haven't had it since. (15 years ago)... Strange.

isn't that just sponge and raisins and custard? i think i could handle that. Where the name comes from i dont think i want to know.

Black pudding is probably the weirdest food ever. my gf has a fear of tomatoes so she won't touch them. Then all the squidgy awful sea food like squid and mussels etc.

I think its weird how we eat some meats but find the thought of eating others odd. Dogs for example (minus the japs \ chinese, they have the courage to eat anything right?)

Me and 3 friends recently ordered 100 mcnuggets for dinner the other day

And I find liver nasty, edible, but nasty.

There isn't much food I truly hate, but olives definately fall into that category, i can taste one olive in an entire sub.

Same here, I absolutely cannot eat most seafood. Salmon and Tuna I like, and mussels are bearable, but most other stuff I find revolting.

Other than that, I'm not really picky at all. Certain things I find taste really bad (olives, capers) but I can stomach them no problem.

As far as Liver I do not mind it at all. Especially some chicken livers fried, Mmmm!

Edit: Oh, btw I happens to love liver but my GF always look at me with a discusted look when i suggest having that for dinner....lol

Supersize Me, was a good movie. It would make anyone think twice before chowing down on a Big Mac and fries again. Maybe everyone except craig!

Too bad my kids still love Mcdonalds, Geez I hate eating there and I think the kids would eat there everyday if we would let them. Damn Happy Meals, LOL!
