That's pretty cool even though the nsx didn't look bad in the first place. They try that with a honda or ford. Ford Escort --> Bentley

NSX > Ferrari isn't that amazing, because the NSX already looks pretty exotic.

ya i saw it posted here a long long time ago.
its still an amazing amount of work they put into it crafting that body.

i saw my first episode of pimp my ride last week. was an old chevy C-10 pick up that was completly shot to shit. in the end it had an LCD tv in the back of each head rest so the people behind you on the raod can watch tv, 3 42' Plasma tvs, a 7000watt system, a set of Big Brakes, and a huge hydrolic lift that tilted the bed of the pick up back so you can watch the tv's. oh ya, it also had a ps2 thrown in it somw where.

you know what the only question that came to mind was when they were finished? why? just simply, why the hell would you ever do that?

i guess if haveing a pimp ride is haveing a car that costs more in accesories alone (42' plasma x 3 @ 2999.99 = 9000.00) then the car was originaly sold for.... go for it.

personaly, id prefer my car looks like shit (but be structuraly sound) and go like hell. rather the look fancy as hell, and scream steal me at the same time, and go no where.

i prefer the show "overhaul" where they take classic cars (like your corvette another-user) and totally rebuild the whole car from bottom up. Making it truly pimp ride final product .

you know, the only part about this that i don't understand is, why take an already expensive slow car (relative to the one it's being modified to), and putting in alot more money than it's worth to make it look like another car when you could have just taken all that same amount of money into buying the real thing?

Well, I do agree with you to some extent. I don't think dumping 10k or so on an NSX to make it look like a Ferrari would exactly would have allowed you to buy the actual thing instead, but I do agree in correlation of "tricked out" Honda Civics and Proteges. I will never understand why people but 10 grand worth of plastic mouldings on a car that's only worth 5. Ricers.

Anyway, that's an awesome conversion though. I think it was more of a channlenge than anything else. Looks awesome.

ya i cought a couple of episodes of "overhaul" when i was on vacation. what there doing is truely kick ass. the cars are only in OK to decent shape, then they take em and do a full rebuild and drop in the ungodly hi performance parts.

now thats what i call pimping.

lol. the only thing that concerns me about that show, is how do they manage to pull off at least 6 months worth of work in one week? And because of the rush, does the build quality stay the same, or is it questionable?

It were actually a good repost imo... seeing an old topic continued when this is when great conversion is worthwhile.

Im still gobsmacked at the quality of it also.....coupled with a good choice of car.honda nsx is quite a looker to start of with.

I used to work in a body shop and it is easily possible to have a car painted in a single day with the use of a good downdraft/baker booth. Granted, the paint will not be road ready but it is possible.

the VIN number will say otherwise . More aftermarket mods done to a car = car depreciation.

honda knows what they are doing, i just wish they would go into 4.0L territory for some more HP in their engines. pretty impressive pushing out 300 out of a 3.5L (Acura RL/Honda Legend) and 240 out of a 2.4L I6 (S2000). even the tiny rsx-s pushes out a mean 210hp (i hate ricers though).

i hope to see the new HSC push out 350horses
