I played 'Oh My God' once when it came out and my five year old has been singing it since. It's damn catchy. The album's not bad. A bit hit and miss.
You should check out Bloc Party, they're even better than the Chiefs, and Mica P Hinson And The Gospel Progress is amazing.

Cool.
Just for 'search engine ease of use' it's Bloc Party without a k, and the album (here in UK anyway) is 'Silent Alarm'. One of my recent favourite's (and I'm hard to please!). I don't mean to be condescending, but if you like Kaiser Chiefs you should like The Killers. They're album has some awesome tracks on it. You could also try The Coral, The Stands, and a favourite of mine, Athlete (Vehicles and Animals is a great album). |

Cool.
Try K-OS : Joyfull Rebellion, Common : Be, EL-P : Fantastic Damage , for some great hip-hop. If you're in the mood, Jurrasic 5 have a couple of great albums. Some of my favourites recently have been: Sufjan Stevens, Micah P Hinson, Devendra Banhart, Spoon, Bright Eyes, and IDLEWILD!!!! |

This album 'Employment'.
After listening to this album now 5 times.....This is one album i don't regard as hit & miss.... This is now among my favourite albums. But this is my taste so others will differ. This is the first album i have bought in a long long time that i actually enjoy every track. I have had plenty of albums that has been rated were i have a dislike to 70% of the album.. I hope the Kaiser cheifs can make an equally good follow up album.. |

I would say try good music but I don't wish to be flamed for m y opinion. But I'm always open to any music that isn't R&B, Rap, or Hip Hop.

Music is always subjective, that's part of it's charm.
Always a good talking point because everyone has a different opinion. I listen to everything from Thomas Tallis to Howlin Wolf to Richmond Fontaine to Canabil Ox, I don't dismiss anything off-hand on the grounds of what genre it might fall into. If it sounds good, and touches you in some way, then what does it matter. |
