This is the loft ....... Not cleaning it up either....

My P4 and a modded "Dell", the only dell part is the case..... celeron 2.4 now tho' I'll probably be putting a Sempron 3100 in there shortly.


A shot of a couple of my axes too, give you an idea what I'm doing up here in the loft.... These are hand builts I did 20 years ago.


You can see where I cut a hole in the wall for it's own 20AMP circuit I pulled from the basement ......

wow... i gotta hand it to you... you really were some craftsman... i especially like the one on the right... ... the shape is kinda out of this world... ... what kind of magnets did you put on the one on the right (i'm talking about the guitars, not the rigs... LOL )... and did you ever made any base guitars...?

oh, and since this is the post your computer place thread, i have to comment on the rigs... both dual CRT monitor for better audio editing (mixer on one monitor, audio tracks on the other)... love the setup (beats the hell out of mine ^^... LOL )...

One of those monitors, the NEC, is an LCD but the other 3 are CRT. I use LCD in the basement where I do most of my live recording, and the one on the P4, here, for fill in recording. LCD don't make as much noise with guitar pickups as CRT do. Actually LCD are silent as far as interference goes. For mixing CRTs work great


(ALNICO magnets in those pickups on the left..... they are wood covered, and Ceramic on the right)

our lead guitarist uses a alnico magnet (don't know which verison thogh, if it's II, III or V), athough i really don't like the sound the guitar produces... too clean for my taste... i like really phat distortions... like some doom bands have... the one he has, even with a processor, sounds like a benjo on steroids (LOL )... but he uses it only when we pratice in the garage, so i guess it's ok (as long as anyone outside the band doens't hear that damn thing... LOL )
