My biggest upgrade.. I just sweat my a$$ off all day installing this huge thing. 12,000 BTU brand new AC. (remote control too)
The last one I had was only a 5000 BTU unit and it hardly cooled the room, with a couple pedestal fans this thing cools the entire apartment. Plus my CPU temp is around 26C idle now.. with stock cooling OC'd from 2200 to 2750mhz. My next big upgrade will be LASIK eye corrective surgery. It will make everything on my monitor look better. ![]() ![]()

LOL! No man it was hot today- got about 80 degrees in here and I was sweating all day installing the damn thing.. It is in my computer room, so I have a fan blowing out to the small hallway that leads to the living room and the rest of the apartment. I just have it that low until it cools the rest of the apartment off a little. The thing is, it isn't the temperature that makes you uncomfortable, it's the humidity (and it is pretty humid), but actually I am getting very cold now so I think I'll probably set it to around 72..

Well your idea is cool I do the same thing to get colder air into my room but since you have a 2 fan set up how big are your fans? I just use a small 9" just to get some air moving into my room so it's not as big of a deal to me than it is to you lol.
P.S. Very nice drawing of your house! |

Mine has been posted very early in this thread but the positioning is very difficult due to the lay out of the room.

Nice setup Mig, I was wondering how convenient it would be for you with the case on the floor... Seems your chair would have gotten in the way...

Besides it was underneath previously and my chair is quite large and the arms only just fit under at the height i like it.Also have broken a dvd-rw drive with it and constantly nudge the pc,thats why it is now up on top. Also gives me better access. |

Here is my setup:
My desk has most of the important stuff, laptop, second monitor, keyboard, mice, speakers, external hard drive, various connections for peripherals, etc. The blinds are closed to keep out glare, normally I have a view down the street I live on. ![]() ![]() ![]() Here are my various controllers, monitor remote, RF PC remote, RF rumble joypad, 2 RF mice (only one of which works properly), and an RF keyboard. ![]() Here are my periphrals, various USB cables, memory card reader, and my Zen Vision M. ![]() These shelves are to the left of my desk and have my printer, scanner, and the reciever for my RF remote and joypad. I normally keep the printer closed unless I am using it to keep dust out: ![]() ![]() My TV, wired as an external monitor: ![]() My Kilpsich Promedia subwoofer and some other non-computer stuff:

You know Black Cat that the MX700 is a very very laggy mouse. I hope you don't game with it. I have it and before I bought a new corded logitech mouse I was thinking it was great but now I see how much it really sucks.
How do you like that mouse? I would guess the other one is not any better. |
