Computer-friendly Snacks?
I was wondering after a large pizza-eating session that greased my keyboard beyond belief, what do y'all eat at your computers? Do you have any recommendations for food that won't make my hands so greasy I have my wireless mouse slip under the desk (its happened, and always just as the dude with the machine gun rounds the corner)? Personally I've always liked garlic naan and pita bread with hummus... and costco chicken bakes... and seaweed.... yum... seaweed... I'll be back later, now I'm too hungry to finish the post.
ToshiroOC Also, what about drinks? 89 cent 2 liters of Pepsi from Pavillions are my current favorite...

Well I like Lay's Classic chips (very greasy so get some NAPKINS), a bologna sandwich not just any bologna, it has got to be Oscar Mayer bologna with mayo and salt and pepper. For the drink, it depends, Pepsi, Mt Dew / Code Red, Tea, or Coffee.
Yuummmm, getting humgry now.

Napkins may be all well and good, but they take more time than you really have in the middle of a game - if its in one of those lulls where you just have to wait for the enemy to come near you before you can do anything, and you wanna snack, you won't have time to clean your hands carefully with a napkin if you hear footsteps just a corner away....

Bah, for cleanliness, you must eat cheese whiz. TV dinners, such as Swanson's new Hungry Man XXL series, are also excellent.

erh,, I eat all kinda of food next to my computer, from KFC, fast food, pasta, seafood, lobster, crab, chips, fruit, rice, etc. Drinks all kinds of stuff too, I mostly drink coke. Even with all this, my keyboard is still clean as a 6 year old keyboard could get and so is my mouse (only 2 years).
I rule is if you're gonna eat, keep it clean and don't touch the food with your bare hands if ever posible, I use chop-stix, fork, knife, etc. Eating Crab with chop-stix is not fun, but lobster is very easy with a fork. oh, and use a BIG bowl so you wouldn't drop anything on your keyboard or lap. my bowl is just big enough to fit a basketball ,near half not all.if your're eating pizzia, finish it, wash your hands in soap and dry before ever touching your keyboard or mouse again. don't get me wrong, I'm no clean freak, my room is a real mess, books, closthe , mails, everywhere,, it's a real mess. I'm a lazy person that just happens to like keeping all his eletronics as nice as possible.

Yeah you realize you could just stop using your computer for the 5-10 minutes it takes to eat
Of course I personally eat anything I can find at my computer. You just have to be careful. I recommend to never be on irc whilst eating...that could be rather messy...

triscuits or wheat thins....occasionally with that nasty cheese in a can. the trick while fragging is to spray the cheese on a group of triscuits laid out on a paper towel or plate before hand...that way while you're waiting to respawn you can reach over and quickly enhale a tasty morsel and not make a mess in the process. hope that helps.

I actually prefer to have my ladies feed me peeled grapes and wine whilst I'm on the computer.

Lol this thread grew beyond what I expected it to... I would normally stop gaming to eat, but sometimes the drive to game and the drive to eat more both become too great. Utensils work for some foods, but how the hell would you eat pita bread/naan with utensils? It would send more crumbs around than if you simply ate it with your hands. I forgot one thing thats also really good for eating at the computer: sushi! I don't mean the kind with raw fish on top, thats messy. I mean the kappa maki kind, with the filling surrounded by rice surrounded by seaweed. Soooooo goood, so clean...

I usually follow the "wash your hands in soap and dry before ever touching your keyboard or mouse again." just can't stand even the slightest oily feeling on the mouse or kb. ![]() of course my desk is amess with papers always
