Lord Of The Rings..The Two Towers
Im just home from watching the latest in the trilogy and am
happy to say that the second part is every bit as enjoyable as the first. Even though its 3 hrs long it really doesn't feel like it, I have been known to fall asleep at the cinema in the past not this time though so it must have something going for it lol. Seriously though I can recommend this film to anybody. The most memorable parts for me EDIT CRAIG5320: POSSIBLE SPOLIERS BELOW LET'S PLAY THE GAME EH? were the ones where Gollum is fighting with his alter-ego, soo funny. The sound effects are amazing too, especially when the bomb goes off A word of warning to those with young kids though, it will be scarey in parts for the young ones

Do you mean the final installment? and referrring to the bad chopping of the Two Towers ending? resulting in a bizzare ROTK beginning? craig5320 |

Extended DVD
I have read that the company which produces LOTR intends to release a massive blowout DVD set on the completion of the ROTK. This will include all of the extended DVD's previously released, as well as the extended ROTK, with even the bloopers thrown in. See this short news story http://www.ananova.com/entertainment...sm_732353.html

All producers are starting to do that nowadays, where they plan out what they're gonna have extra on the DVDs etc, like Star Wars they kno they can sucker people in with all the extras, I kno in a sense it's good nowadays, but it's all becoming very commerical, and merchandising geewhizz.

Yeah that set will be like 50 discs! There's a good parody hidden on one of the discs in the 4 disc set involving Jack Black and Sarah Michelle Gellar

Lol! Reminds me of the time I was playing 'Guess the Animal' with my daughter Lucy (7). She said the animal had 3 legs and, after I'd exhausted every possibility, she came up with the answer. A 'balancing cat'

seen it twice now, and maybe going to see it a third time, may have been better if they'd finished the book tho
but the way they've recreated middle-earth is amazing

Own several complete sets of Tolken's series, Including The Silmarillon and the other, backstory releases. Amazing the amount people who have never read it ![]() Going to see it this weekend, sounds like I will be pleased I'm already pleased to see the inclusion of Ents in the preview ( No spoiler there, If you haven't read the book, you wont know what the heck I'm talking about )This follows the exclusion of The Great Oak, and Tom Bombadill(know I spelled it wrong, always do) from Fellowship. I'm sure they had time restrictions, its a long series!!! Looking forward to it !!! Another series I wouldn't mind seeing for the "Big Screen" is Stephen King's The Dark Tower. Big fan The last 3 parts of that series, all are set to be released by late fall next year. For those of you who like to read as much as I do ![]() ![]() Cheers

I can't wait to see this film, trouble is I'm struggling for a sitter for my daughter (nearly 8). Is the film suitable or should I wait until I can get a sitter?

Well there are demons, Ents (tree people), wizards, warlocks, Imps, Fairies, Goblins, Evil Eyes, Dragons, and lots of other critters... Oh yeah... and Hobbits. I could see it being a little frightening for an 8yr old. My suggestion is to rent the first one... Show it to her, and then see how she reacts to that one. That is my $0.02 usd
