Why DH..?

Hey guys and gals,

I noticed that we have lots of new people joining of late which is great to see, but I am keen to know what makes DH better than the rest of the sites out there. I frequent around three technical forums being Guru3d, OCAU and DH.

I personally enjoy the game reviews, I think they are excellent and although I don't own any ATI hardware I think it's great that ATI have as much involvement and input as they do with the community here

I also enjoy the news updates with software, especially the codec updates and game patches of late.

So what are your reasons?

cuz lotgs of different people, i'm actually giving back to the community in reviews, it's fun, lots of different topics and lots of cool warpy posts

I first found DH through the kX drivers, got a link from the kX website.
Posted in there a little bit, then started looking at the news on the front page, then i found the off topic forum. Got to 500 posts in less than four weeks after that, then 1000 in another two.

And now i'm still here

I found DH through the Omega Drivers website. From the time that I started trolling here until now, I have learned more about PC troubleshooting and Windows troubleshooting from Tipstaff and CDB then I had in the year prior of actually doing it in RL.

This forum is great for the help and content included in it, the people here are pretty cool, and its nice to find a group of people that have the same interests and many of the same passions I do.

Other reason I'm here is because I want 500 posts so I can have an avatar, Lol.

Found dh via the w2s front page (i think) or at least as an link at least...

Been here for sometime and found dh quite relaxing at the best and most times....Everyone seems to respect each other and not to many disagreements....

I know that most will see me as newsposter....... And thanks warpy on the comments about the software/game updates..

I have seen many of the regulars from my join up date disappear.and for more than one reason..

Since joining staff what a great opportunity that gave me...Thats the point it became perhaps a little less relaxing in some ways..The responsibility changes a persons attitude a little.....

But it is still great to see the stuff posted within forums.... offtopic still give me a laugh reading some of the stuff..

Viewing some of Falstaffs artwork in the heavenly visions forum.....(not to mention the rest who participate).

But one great forum still..

I first came here because I didnt care for Rage3D at all, and I love ATI, I think I might have googled ATI drivers and found DH that way.... I remember the old DH forum, and all the web trolls that came here, and now it is so much better..I believe the web trolls have formed their own site now, so it is much more enjoyable to be here.

i was recommended to come here for a modded driver for my first ati card, i think it was called paragon or something like that...

My experience with DH started with my love for red graphic cards...then i've lived 3 stages, first months i was only a reader, because of the nice articles about last hardware and software, then i became a very active member and that was really good and fun oldtimes

, finally my work has changed me into an ocasional reader..But one thing is for sure, DH has been my home page since novermber 2002 and is simply one of the best tech sites on the net, you all can be proud of being members

I was brought in by Drivercleaner and omega's drivers. I stick around because I like the people and the layout better than the other sites.

I go over to hardocp and see members there bashing DH, I see it at Anandtech, it's all over the place. DH is just silently here, and it's the best.

personally i came here for the driver support and Omega's, but I stayed for the MIG.

I cant remember how i found DH but i think it was by " accident " while surfing the web ... what got me in is the friendly, mature and not selfish people ( except Vikingod who think everyone is here for him ...

) . I like the fact that administrator take care of the jerk that plague so many forums by swearing and giving a hard time to others members and also, the way people try to help everyone disregard if its a complete noobie or not . I wish to mention the funny threads like 3 words story ect...

I came over from rage3d when Z was talking about opening up a new forum. I've been here ever since the attitude of this forum is one of the best I have ever had the pleasure of being a part of. I dont post a whole lot but I come here daily and read all the great news and enjoying posts. Just a damn good place if you ask me.
