A good free e-mail service?

Does anyone know a good free e-mail service? Here's what it needs to have:
Decent storage space, not necessarily measured in gigabytes.
Decent maximum single message size, at least a few megabytes.
It needs to be accessable through Outlook Express or Mozilla Thunderbird.
[color=Red]It must allow sending and recieving executables!!![/color]

I've got both Gmail and Yahoo acounts. Gmail doesn't allow sending or recieving executables, and the free Yahoo doesn't allow accesing mail through Outlook.

Hotmail allows you the use of Outlook Express, or at least it used too. Too bad its spammer-haven, hacker prone, and unreliable availability.

Looks like you want a free POP mail service, not too common outside of the main portals.

gmail offers pop, but since someone said you cant send exe files(im assuming theyre correct) maybe you could just zip it?

yup, just zip it and it will work fine.

No, I tried that, it finds them inside zips aswell. I can fool them by changing the extension, but it's irritating.

Hotmail still allows POP access to old users, which includes me, but to them they didn't increase the inbox size. (Yeah, it's still 2MB for me with 1MB max message size.) Also, they too no longer allow executables. (I was able to get my message with an attached exe through Outlook.)

it shouldnt, I just did it 5 mins ago and it worked just fine. i sent one to my work account and I sent one to myself (gmail account, from gmail account), and it worked just fine. Maybe try saving it as a .rar file works better, dont know.

I still stick with hotmail. I've never got a single spam mail, no virii, no nothing. just use a very long wierd name like the one i use.. that way you shouldn't get spam as long as you don't sign up with it @ a lot of untrusted sites.

RAR worked! Thanks. I retried the ZIP and got the error message saying they've found the exe, but RAR passed. I prefer RAR anyway, the only problem is that many people don't have it.

glad to hear. If you might be afraid people dont have the software, just post a little message with a link to the winrar software.
