rolleyes The Dig's sig.

Another thread has turned into a commentary on me sigs color choices, so I thought I'd just seek the input of the peeps I like & trust to help me decide on what they should be. It's a bit of a pain-in-the-ass to change me sig at all the sites I usually visit, so I want to have a consensus on what people like/don't like before I decide if I should go with the majority or just see how painful I can make it on the eyes to read.

Here's how it currently looks:

DriverHeaven Super Moderator
BluePhoenix PIII800@944, CUSL2-C, 512MBcas2, retail 64MB 8500(290/310), SB-live5.1, Creative 12xDVD, Mitsumis CR-4804TE, 10/100NIC, 56K Lucent Winmodem, 40GB Maxtor, Hauppauge TV-card, VCR, digital cable, win98se
Bubbles Celeron 1.4@1.75, TUSL2-C, 512MBcas2, GF3(250/530), FortissimoII, Artec16xDVD, 10/100NIC, 40GB GXP60 7200, ATI TV-Wonder VE, win98se/XP
Boomer Celeron 1@1.13, P3B-F, 320MB, GF2 MX400(240/420), Fortissimo, 32xCDROM, 10/100NIC, 40GB Maxtor, win98se
Babs P166, 212MB, 2.3GB, Voodoo3, SB-16, 10/100 NIC, win98se
Elite Bastards - Editor
DriverHeaven SETI team - Folding to find intelligent life

I know ya can see it in me sig below, but I'm gonna be changing it based on suggestions in this thread. (I thought it might help pass a boring/frustrating afternoon...I need a distraction.) I've been meaning to put together a "Dig's rigs" page so I can just make a shortlink to that instead of listing 'em all out, (plus it'd be a whole lot easier to keep it up to date!), but for some odd reason an incredible sense of apathy seems to hit me whenever I contemplate doing anything with updating me homepage.

I don't think you should change it at all, so what if people don't like it.

Pink is somewhat difficult to read, particularly on our blue background.

I find the pink easy to read. It's the blue & red that is too bright for some reason.

Do it in orange....Pink, purple, and blue are hard to read on this background.

I've never been a fan of loads of different colours in a sig, in my

opinion it just looks a bit too messy and is very difficult to read. I

like Dom's sig, the black is nice and easy to read, ( would be

easier still if the font was a bit bigger ) yet it still sets

it apart from any other writing in the post.

I like Doms sig also but it could do with a bit more detail.

I only have a lot of colors so I can find where I left off when reading messages... I can see everything I said and all that other stuff. I think it is easier to use as a place marker when scrolling through threads.

I think that the blue, red, and green are all a bit to vibrant - if anything, make them a little duller, and change the blue, so that the sig is easier to read... Also, you might want to just make a picture that you load as your sig instead of having text if that would make readability easier and allow you to use whatever background you want to.....

Go for a pale tones. Choose the blue and green I use and the orange and yellow that DirveEuro uses and that would be very readable

EDIT: Can't believe I don't know the colours in my own .sig

I think it looks fine- I can read it all perfectly, but I got the digital vibrance cranked up in the detonator driver control panel which makes colored text jump off the page.

Don't forget that the board alternates between light and dark backgrounds every post. It's going to be hard to find colours that suit both.

The blue text has to go though Dig.
