How many of you out there make backups of all your important data on a regular basis? Thinking about it doesn’t count! Quite often backing up your essential data becomes a chore that we would rather put off until another day. That’s fine until the inevitable crash when you suddenly realize how much important data you really should have saved when you had the chance. All those documents....gone. Digital photos...gone. Uncle Harry’s secret salsa recipe...gone!

It used to be that if you wanted to back up your essentials you needed to burn them to disk (which can be a time consuming task at best). That is no longer the case. We recently tested out the Ultra Mini-Portable Disk. A hard drive enclosure for all your backup needs. This device is a great help for the home user or the small business user that needs an affordable way to keep important information safe.

A plastic enclosure, no wonder it needs a fan!

My external HD enclosure is nice chunk of aluminium, no fan required.
