Chicago's WGN news is warning parents that video games are like drugs, an audacious claim that has gamers across the country wondering what those crazy journalists are smoking. According to the WGN health segment on the impact of gaming, the adrenaline rush that occurs during gameplay makes the experience itself an addictive stimulant:

"It's a stimulant. It's highly addictive. It's causing kids to forget about their friends, ignore their schoolwork and become impulsive and hot tempered."

I am on the forums way more often than I am playing games and I don't think I'm the only one.

Every recreational activity is somewhat adictive. You could say that watching tv is addictive because most people do it regularly and they can't stop.

397 hours lol ^^ would be hard to stop playing bf2 forever? you would probably think about it everyday and crave it like a drug.

beleive it or not, no not at all. going by my stats, ive been tracked for 249 days, and play an average of 1.6 hours a day, so a little over 90 mins.

honestly, i think i could very easily walk away from the game and never look back.

going by the stas in your sig, you played Fear for 1.85 hours a day this week, which is more so then me.
