DH Review: OCZ DDR2 PC2-6400 / 800MHz

It’s been a while since we had a look at some DDR2 memory here on Driverheaven however the technology is growing in popularity as Intel users look to enhance the performance of their systems. Add to that the fact that AMD will be heading towards DDR2 later this year and you have a product which will become more and more popular as time goes on. Today’s review product comes from the memory experts at OCZ Technology and is their PC2-6400 (800MHz) memory.

A very good review! I'm always happy to see some real world tests, so extra points there. I can find only one flaw, in the first sentence of the text: "It’s been a while since we had a look at some DDR2 memory here on Driverheaven...", as your previous DDR2 memory review is dated Feb 26! (not that it matters at all)
Comparing those two, I noticed that SuperTalent memory works at 4-3-4-8 and scores a bit higher in Sandra than OCZ which uses 5-5-5-10 timings. Also, I can't call the recommended price of $200 great, as MSRP price for the 2GB Super Talent's kit is $359.
On the other hand, I've noticed that OCZ's 1GB kit is sold online for about $155, while ST's kit is nowhere to be found.

Hello Ivan,

You are correct, but Stuart did not know that I had a DDR2 review coming too and I was a little bit faster.

Also you found the correct price as Stuart is using 512MB modules, not 1GB ones...

It's not his fault you put out reviews faster than a speeding bullet
