24: The Game Review @ Trusted Reviews

It’s by turns gripping, thrilling, suspenseful, preposterous, badly flawed, ridiculous, engaging, exciting, appalling and practically unmissable. In a sense, 24: The Game couldn’t be any more like 24 the Series. In so many ways, 24: The Game is an object lesson in how to export a successful TV series to a video game. It looks, feels and sounds right. The in-game models resemble their TV counterparts about as much as Playstation 2 technology allows, and with the original actors providing voices, it doesn’t take a huge leap of imagination to find yourself sucked into a great lost season, sitting happily between season two and season three. Stylistically, it’s all there: the creeping, handheld camera; the dramatic score; the signature use of split-screen to cover events from two angles or as a transition between multiple events; the clock updates; the final ticking down and cut-to-black as each ‘episode’ ends.

I saw a commercial for this game on TV the other day- it looked horrible. The PS2 is SO out dated it's ridiculous.

I disagree... Black looks gorgeous and it's on PS2. That's a game I wouldn't mind (even graphically) on PC!!!

Did you actually play it on a PS2 or just watch the pre-rendered demos? Sony likes to fake people out with BS pre-rendered stuff..

Sony certainly does when it comes to PS3 hype but I must admit if you look at all of the ads for multiplatform games like Cod2 they almost always show the PS2 graphics even though they could show scenes from the PC version and it would be all the more impressive.

Is there some kind of industry advertising regulation where they have to show how it appears on the weakest system even though the ad is for the game itself and it may be on several systems.

Played it mate Sure the textures aren't as sharp on PC and all and I won't say PS2 = Current gen PC but it's far far far from ugly too (honestly, The Regiment on PC was fooglier than BLACK)
