DH Site Survey

Driver Heaven has been open for almost four years and we have made some changes this year to various aspects of the site with the aim in improving the experience for our members and visitors.

Obviously the polls we run front page help us to ascertain specific points to improve such as the new default theme, however today id like to ask everyone if they could spare 5 minutes of their time to fill in an online survey to help us improve your experience. Yes I know these things are boring but they honestly will help us to improve DH!

If you can spare 5 minutes please head over here to fill in our survey. Also if you include your email address (optional) with the completed survey, a secret prize will be given to a winner drawn at random. It goes without saying that this survey remains totally confidential and all information will only be read by myself.

Some categories I wasn't too sure what to answer, for parts of the site that I seldom use, so I mostly stuck with "average", or whatever the most neutral response was for those.

Happy to answer these if it helps with the site though.

The survey has some options which does not cover everything. I believe it's better to have a "If other, explain" option. It may overcomplicate things, but it would have made the answers easier to pick.

A few options like "Only use when required" in the questions could of been a additional...such as the dhdownloads usage.

I am not sure if this should turn into a little discussion thread of ideas, but I will post anyway :P

I suggested that given the knowledge of the guys @ DH I would like to see more news articles with a "DH comment" something akin to how Ars Technica have their news desk (eg. http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/20060404-6522.html ). I think this would be a "value added" service which would keep people coming back to DH more as POV articles are always interesting. I know this would be an extra work load and I wouldn't expect it on all news but just on some important issues.

any thoughts on this? Am I alone in thinking this would be a good idea?
