Nvidias release of the new FX has been far from successful in my opinion, we have all heard the Mp3s available on Tomshardware and Anandtech detailing the horrendous noise problems. There is some good news on that front as Gainward has issued a press release that states their FX product series will be equipped with a custom developed cooling solution for GeForce FX cards. Initially Flow FX produced up to 70db noise - Gainward claims to have reduced it to 7db.
But how much does this cost, time to sell our girlfriends on ebay?

Also on a lighter note all those funny images circulating the net of the FX doctored onto vacuum cleaners isnt so far fetched ! let me quote some more text from the press release.

Owing to Gainward’s advanced R&D skills the maximum noise is reduced to only 7db, the same as a human heartbeat. Competetive products maximum noise levels can be rated as high as 70db the same level as a domestic vacuum cleaner.
