Fat clients, rich Web clients call 'em what you want, Web 2.0 is here, and today we look at a new kind of Web service: ajaxWrite. It's an online word processor that uses AJAX—asynchronous JavaScript and XML. Basically, AJAX allows for more-responsive Web applications by uploading HTML and JavaScript code to the browser to create a lightweight application inside your browser, which then asynchronously exchanges XML data in small chunks with the server using the XMLHttpRequest object.
