A vast majority of high tech gadgets on the market utilize some sort of memory card to store data, music, images, or programs. Two of the main issues with the widespread use of these memory cards is that there is no universal standard, and you need to be careful when storing/transporting all of these somewhat sensitive cards.

The important point is on the second page - failed a very mild and accidental "drop test", where the tough looking metal case was let down by its plastic catch - catch failed, broke, contents spilled.

On that performance, you'd be better off using the carrier supplied with many memory cards, generally of impact resistant plastic.
