MSI GF4 Ti4600 8X Review
As noted in our review of the 440MX-8X cards, Nvidia originally introduced their AGP8X cards in the form of AGP8X capable Ti4200 and 440MX cards. It was just a matter of time before they would release the Ti4600 version of their cards with AGP8X support, and hence today we’re reviewing the MSI Ti4600 8X.

I own an original MSI Ti4600 (4xAGP) and it has the exact same core and memory clock speed (300 and 660 Mhz respectively) as this card; not the 500Mhz reported in the review. Also, I find it strange how unsuccessful their over clock was. I mean, I have to admit, when I saw the cooling system, I was intrigued, but "a whopping 715Mhz"?? That's whopping?? My original MSI Ti4600 OC blows away what they were able to achieve with this card. I currently have my card clocked at 330 core and 725 memory and it's rock solid no matter what the load. When playing less demanding games, I can push it higher even. Perhaps too much stock was put into reducing fan noise at the price of cooling potential, and if that's the case, it's a trend I hope will not continue, myself not being a member of the ever-growing community of people who are anal about fan noise.
