The young makers of a "Star Trek" spoof--seen by 3.5 million people online in less than two months--are planning to create a filmmaking community on the Internet.

Relying on free distribution over the Web, "Star Wreck: In the Pirkinning"--which spoofs the "Star Trek" science-fiction classic--became Finland's most viewed online movie ever at the end of last year.

The "Star Wreck" team is now working on a Web site that would enable anyone to provide ideas and offer know-how to filmmakers, who would be able to sort the information and decide what they want to use.
