AMD's K8 1.3.1 Driver Released

Read More / Source: DailyTech

____________
AMD quietly just released its desktop K8 driver, version 1.3.1. Unlike other AMD driver releases, this one contains no README or version update file, much to the surprise of many AMD fans. AMD's Damon Muzny was able to shed some light on the situation, and released the following statement to DailyTech:

There were a couple of "corner cases" (meaning very rare situations) where there needed to be a correction of how C'n'Q worked with some power suspend situations. Basically, if C'n'Q is already working on your machine, this won't change anything. No performance impact, period.

Fair enough

The installer demands access to "C:\boot.ini" explicitly so if you dont have a C:\ drive you're screwed.
