Intel Pentium 4 Processor HT 631 (Cedar Mill) 3.0GHZ Review @ DragonSteelMods

Review: DragonSteelMods

Intel...Gack... sorry, but I'll admit it, I am an AMD fanboy, always have been and always will be... Anyway, today for review I have the new 65nm Cedar Mill CPU from Intel, it is actually the Intel Pentium 4 processor 631. I now a few people that have Intel CPU's and they love them, and honestly I was curious about the 'Hyper-Threading' technology that supposedly makes one core work as two for better performance and processing power. The 65nm processors supposedly have advantages over the older 90nm fabrications, with less heat and less power consumption being at the top of the advantage list. Personally having an AMD dual core setup, I was very curious to see how a CPU that runs at 3.0Ghz and has a virtual second core would stack up against my AMD Athlon X2 4200+ that runs at a measly 2.2Ghz, and my X2 system is a year old, how does it stack up against equipment that is only a month or two old? Let's find out.....
