Ricoh Corporation, the Dependable Digital(TM) output company, today introduced the Ricoh(R) Aficio 1224C/1232C series, high-performance multifunction systems that integrate copying, printing, scanning and optional faxing capabilities--all with "convenience color" capabilities and at an affordable price.

The Aficio 1224C/1232C series includes all the features of traditional Multi-Functional Products (MFP's) in speed, image quality, paper handling and finishing options, all in easy-to-maintain and compact units. The Aficio 1224C/1232C series also handles online document collation, ensuring that all documents look their best and are ready for quick distribution. Additionally, for a minimal added cost, its "Convenience Color" capabilities enable it to seamlessly integrate color pages into any document and finish it without manual intervention. Well suited to support a general office environment, the Aficio 1224C/1232C series is ideal for workgroups of five to 20 people.

Since it incorporates such a wide range of functions into one system, the Aficio 1224C/1232C can also positively impact a company's bottom line. All service costs and consumables are consolidated into one product and its modular design and easy access to all consumables reduces the need for service calls and downtime.

Copying - The Aficio 1224C/1232C has virtually all the advance copying features found on Ricoh's dedicated copiers, including Scan Once/Output Many, scaling, rotating, simplex to duplex, oversize copying - all in black & white and color. Adding optional finishing eliminates the need for manual collating and stapling; documents are ready for distribution from the output tray to the finisher.

Printing - The Aficio 1224C/1232C can be outfitted as a network printer, with monochrome speeds to match most workgroup printers, and color capabilities that are comparable to desktop color printers. All finishing options are accessible through the print drivers, so users have the same document finishing convenience with both copying and printing.

Faxing - The optional fax has all of the same features and utilities as dedicated fax systems. An additional second line can be installed to simultaneously transmit and receive faxes.

Document Server - The Aficio 1224C/1232C is a complete document hub that handles not only hardcopy document needs, but digital ones as well. All documents, whether copied, faxed, printed or scanned for distribution, are stored temporarily on the system's 40 GB hard disk drive. Users can easily recall specific documents to re-fax, re-output, or even annotate through DeskTopBinder.

The Aficio 1224C is available at a suggested retail price of $7,995 and the Aficio 1224C S/P is available for $9,695. The suggested retail price for the Afico1232C is $10,995 and the Aficio 1232C S/P is available for $12,995.
